A Spooky Good Visit to Ms. Chavoya’s ESL 2B Class!
We had special guests in Ms. Chavoya’s ESL 2B class this week. Dave Coleman and Sofia Mayoral from the DACE central office stopped by to watch our students present book reports on the Halloween themed books they’ve been reading.
Our students did an amazing job. They shared summaries, favorite characters, and the spookiest moments from their stories, all while practicing their English speaking skills in front of an audience. It takes real courage to present in a new language, and every student rose to the occasion.
Thank you to Mr. Coleman and Ms. Mayoral for taking the time to visit and celebrate our learners’ hard work. And congratulations to Ms. Chavoya and her class on a fantastic showcase of reading, speaking, and confidence!
